Samarpana – Centre for Humane Services was founded in 1995 by B. M. Sridhar and K. Bhavani under the leadership of Dr. R. Nanjundarao with a simple yet powerful vision — to ensure that intellectually disabled individuals and vulnerable elders receive lifelong care, dignity, and protection.
Our journey started in a small rented house caring for a single child with multiple disabilities. Over the years, with the support of kind-hearted donors and well-wishers, Samarpana evolved into a trusted institution serving children, adults, elders, and families in need of care and support.
Families caring for intellectually disabled children often face emotional, financial, and social challenges. Many elderly individuals experience abandonment, loneliness, and lack of support in their later years.
Samarpana was built to become a support system for these forgotten lives — a place where individuals are accepted, cared for, and encouraged to live with dignity.
